Feature Writing teaches students how to write descriptive and narrative pieces on issues in greater depth than news stories based on facts. The feature is an expansion of the news story but because of its wider deadline, it covers an issue more indepthly than the news story, and uses flowery language and styles unlike the news story that follows a formula: Rudyard Kipling's 5 Ws and H.
